The Sound of Music

It's Saturday night and the husband's out because it's UFC night. What's a girl to do? I turned on PBS last night to find the most awesome concert on TV... Hitman: David Foster & Friends. This show was amazing and it even featured some of the talent from American Idol. I'm a long time fan of David Foster and his music and to top it off, Boz Skaggs and Peter Cetera were there! Need I say more? I'm giggling like a school girl because their music makes me melt and has inspired me in many ways.

I'm also a new fan of Charice Pempengco.
YES! Extraordinary singer from the Philippines. She is basically what you're talking about when people say, big things come in small packages. Her voice is amazing and it gives me chills everytime I hear her sing. Take a listen here.

Here's a little write up from the pbs.com.

Recorded live in performance at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center, Hitman: David Foster & Friends features Foster himself presiding center stage at the keyboard. The evening is a virtual jukebox worth of songs written by and/or produced by him. Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and brother Kevon offer “I Swear;” Brian McKnight revisits Earth, Wind and Fire’s “After the Love Has Gone;” former Chicago front man Peter Cetera gets down with “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” “You’re the Inspiration” and “Glory of Love;” while Boz Scaggs reprises “Look What You’ve Done to Me” from Urban Cowboy.
