The Amber Foundation Grants began in 1998, launched in conjunction with the entreprenuerial community for women, WomensNet.Net, to honor the memory of a young woman who died in 1981, at the age of 19.

June 26, 2009 Dead line approaching. WomensNet.Net is currently accepting applications from women in the process of starting or expanding their own business who need a cash infusion to make it a reality. The website will award its next $500 grant this July to a deserving applicant; the deadline to apply is June 30.
WomensNet.Net awards one $500 Amber grant each quarter. The grant does not need to be repaid. The only requirement is that applicants be a member of the WomensNet.net community, which is free. To register, go to www.womensnet.net
The online grant application can be found and completed at www.womensnet.net/amber-grants/apply.php. Women who have previously applied but did not win are encouraged to reapply.
