Patchwork Indie Arts & Craft Festival
I'm sad that I'm not going to be selling my cards this time, but I'm looking forward to starting my Christmas shopping! There's 2 dates in November. Support indie artists!
Oh Joy! at Urbanic Paper
Ok, this is long overdue, but I can't not post about this. About a month ago... October 15th, 2009 to be exact, I attended a party at the uber cute boutique Urbanic Paper. Joy Cho from Oh Joy! recently launched a new stationery line with Chronicle books and folks from Urbanic threw her an awesome party to celebrate this awesome occasion.
It was a wonderful evening with champagne, cupcakes and my most fave of all... paper! I met a lot of delightful and talented people and I have to admit I was a bit starstruck. I'll name drop later.
I've been following Joy's blog since I drooled over her notebooks at Anthropology. She has definitely reached a level of design that I am in awe of. She's a really sweet and I'm so happy I met her!
Among other blogging "celebrities" were Amanda from 100 Layer Cake. I hope she didn't think I was a crazy person, but seriously people, this girl's a genius. I am awaiting the launch of her website and I'm still up for being a tester if she'll still have me :)
I briefly met Max Wanger who took all these beautiful photos of the night's festivities. He was there with his fiance and I must say... what an adorable couple.
I am thankful to have met Lindsay and April from Sweet Monday. They're a couple of photographers who are truly an inspiration. I will get to where they are someday. Danni from Oh Hello Friend was there too! She brought a photobooth and has started a new business with her brother, photobooth love. Keep on the lookout for that. I already have plans to reserve it for a wedding. Miki from Miki Events is an new and upcoming event planner. She's a sweetheart. I also briefly met Peggy from Blue Pool Road. She has absolutely beautiful letterpress stationary. I can't forget about Monica and Evan. Monica writes a blog called Our Designed Life. They're newlyweds and I was actually the first person Evan introduced Monica to me as his "wife." I'm so honored.
