If you know me, then you know that I'm a HUGE Sara Bareilles fan. Yipee!!! I am proud to announce that her new album "King of Anything" will be out in stores soon! Until then, take a listen to the new single off the album.
Zee Avi was just as fabulous as her album. Her voice is impeccable and I love her sense of style! She's so teeny and it was a pleasure to meet her in person. We got there a little late cuz of dinner, so I don't have good pictures of her performing. My friend Jenn joined me cuz she was inspired by her music as well. She had Zee sign her iphone! Go technology!
She told us that the song Bitter Heart was featured in a Wal-Mart commercial, so if you think it sounds familiar, then that's why :).
Thanks to Danni for telling me about this in store performance. I'm sad she couldn't come with me!
I'm all about the ultimate happy song. When Love Song by Sara Bareilles plays on the radio or my CD player, I quickly get a smile on my face and my frown is turned upside down. If you ever watched Ally McBeal, then you can relate. In this one episode, she's super stressed out about some case (when is she never stressed out?) and her therapist tells her to get a "theme song."
La Belle êtoile by Andrea Lindsay is my ultimate happy song album. Listening to each of her songs just puts me into that extra special mood and my frown is definitely turned upside down. All her songs are in French, so despite what she's saying, her melodies are super cute and sure to put a hop in your step.
It's Saturday night and the husband's out because it's UFC night. What's a girl to do? I turned on PBS last night to find the most awesome concert on TV... Hitman: David Foster & Friends. This show was amazing and it even featured some of the talent from American Idol. I'm a long time fan of David Foster and his music and to top it off, Boz Skaggs and Peter Cetera were there! Need I say more? I'm giggling like a school girl because their music makes me melt and has inspired me in many ways.
I'm also a new fan of Charice Pempengco. YES! Extraordinary singer from the Philippines. She is basically what you're talking about when people say, big things come in small packages. Her voice is amazing and it gives me chills everytime I hear her sing. Take a listen here.
Recorded live in performance at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center, Hitman: David Foster & Friends features Foster himself presiding center stage at the keyboard. The evening is a virtual jukebox worth of songs written by and/or produced by him. Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and brother Kevon offer “I Swear;” Brian McKnight revisits Earth, Wind and Fire’s “After the Love Has Gone;” former Chicago front man Peter Cetera gets down with “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” “You’re the Inspiration” and “Glory of Love;” while Boz Scaggs reprises “Look What You’ve Done to Me” from Urban Cowboy.
Once I read about this I had to share the news!!! Just in time for Valentine's Day. I'll post album art as soon I get a hold of it!
